Pre-Depression PA farm recipes?
My great-grandfather owned a farm in eastern Pennsylvania (right next to Quaker country) that he had to sell during the Great Depression. I'm interested in brewing a beer that could potentially be like some he (or his workers) may have made on the farm. I don't know exactly where it was, what he grew, etc.
Does anyone have a reference to a beer recipe that would be geographically and historically appropriate? (and yes, I've seen the George Washington recipe...)
