I came up with this porter recipie and id like anyones input on it.
83% maris oter
9% brown malt
6% black patent
2% flaked barley
1oz ekg @60 min
1oz ekg @30 min
You might want to consider some Chocholate malt maybey 5-8% also maybey some Fuggle hops. Just my opinion
Yea i was going for a more earthy kind of grainy flavir other chan chocolatey, more like a brown porter flavor
Bump any other input??
It all depends on what you're looking for, but with a brown porter I would cut back on the black patent to maybe 3% and add some medium crystal, around 5% in the 60-90L range. Just my $0.02.
