Default Out of town for 6 months... what do you brew?

Looks like I'll be away for 6 months in a couple of months, I need some beer to look forward to when I get back. What do I brew?

I'm already planning on doing a mead, but that's not beer.

Ideas? Barleywine maybe? What kind?

Don't overthink it too much. Brew what you like. I recently had a pale, cream, blonde and a porter that I brewed last spring. They all still tasted great!

Although, I'll agree that it's a good time to brew a big beer, since you won't be able to dip into it early

Chimay, Westvleeteren 12 those are beers that will need a long time in the bottle before you can drink them.
Have a nice trip!
