Need a new hop schedule for EdWorts Haus Pale Ale
|
|
Just what I said. I've seen a lot of good reviews on the recipe so I decided to do it for my welcome back brew after nearly a ten month hiatus. So I walk into my LHBS and hand them my list and before he disapears into the back to put it together he says, "by the way we're out of cascades". What? I thought that was a staple of homebrew stores. Oh well, its a small place so I guess I'm glad its still open.
So anyway this is what I picked up instead:
2 oz US Goldings 4.5%
2 oz Chinook 12.2%
2 oz Amarillo 8.2%
*All Pellets
Anyone want to take a shot at a good hop schedule for me?

Same schedule, just use the Amarillo. It's now a true Texas Haus Ale, just a little bit hoppier..

I have brew this with Cascade and I have also use the following and really enjoy it.
1oz Ahtanum - 60
.5 Ahtanum 15
.5 Amarillo 15
.5 Ahtanum 5
.5 Amarillo 5
I got this schedule from JB at AHS from a different Pale recipe (more like a SN grain bill)
I took that hop bill and added it to Ed grain bill... and I enjoyed it.
I have 10gals of Eds (with cascades) on tap now tho.. so I mix it up.
