Default Muscadine Recipes

Does anyone have a recipe and/or made cider or beer out of muscadine grapes? I have access to free muscadines, and I was wondering how I can make a late summer wheat beer maybe? Or a hard cider? Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Prost! Kevin

Call me captain obvious, but don't you make wine out of grapes? My advice is you mosey over to the wine forum.

Default Grapes

Alot of people make pies and garnish drinks with cherries, but have you ever heard of cherry wheat beer? Sure, anyone can make wine out of grapes, but isn't homebrewing also about experimentation? If it can't be done, it can't be done. By the way, there are muscadine cider recipes out there, I thought I would "put the question out there", just in case someone has tried.

I dont know of any recipes that call for them, but if you find a cherry wheat recipe you could substitute grapes for cherries one for one, see how it comes out.

I like Dave Barry, beer, and pizza (maybe not in that order) and although beer compliments pizza quite well, so does the wheel. What about pizza delivery?

That would have been my suggestion too... Though i don't now how well grapes and wheat would taste together...

Muscadine Russian Imperial Stout... that oddly sounds appetizing...

I don't see why not. I think the common answer would be "aren't grapes for wine?" Grapes are a fruit just like cherries, raspberries, blueberries, apricots, apples.. and those are turned into ciders and beers all the time. Go for it, it's a great idea. I might have to try it as well.
