Default Most accurate Dead Guy Ale recipe??

What would you guys say is the most accurate Dead Guy Ale recipe?? I had it again tonight and gotta say its one of the best beers I've had. I'd really like to try a clone but get nervous since I brew 10 gallon and don't wanna be disappointed 10 gallons worth lol.

Is the pacman yeast still available or should I try to make a starter from one of the bottles I have in the fridge.

Check the brewing network they talked straight to John maier. I'd say that is probably the most accurate. I believe rebelbrewer.com carries the Pacman year round. Good luck. If you can't find pacman just use 001/1056/s05

Heck if it ends up being 15.5 lbs+ I won't be making 10 gallons my mash tun won't handle that much grain. Guess I can do 7-8 gallons.

I know this is the easy way out - but you can buy a Dead Guy Kit. Or at least look at the recipe here...http://www.butlerbeerworks.com/products/rogue-dead-guy-ale-homebrew-kit?utm_source=google-product-search

Here's what I ordered today for a 10 gallon batch based on an 80% efficiency, its based off of Yooper's recipe. I upped the Munich due to some posts I saw in Yooper's thread where someone mentioned someone from Rogue stating they use roughly 20% Munch malt. I also added another oz of bittering hops as Yooper's recipe is low in IBU's compared to Rogue's stats on their site. Rogue's SRM is also a bit darker so I added a bit more crystal, not enough though to get it up to their specs though.

Crisp Maris Otter 16 lbs, 8 oz

Weyermann Munich Type II 2 lbs, 0 oz

Caramel Munich 2 lbs, 0 oz

Briess 2 Row Caramel 40 1 lbs, 8 oz

Perle, GR Pellets 3 oz @ 60 mins

Perle, GR Pellets .5 oz @ 30 mins

Saaz, Czech Pellets .5 oz @ 5 mins

Perle, GR Pellets .5 oz @ 5 mins

Wyeast Labs Pacman 2 ea
