More praise for Northern Brewer
|
|
So I placed an order yesterday for some pellet hops; 1# Centennial, 1oz Amarillo, 1oz Summit, and some Star San. Well, stupid me clicked on Target instead of Summit so I called a left a message last night to swap the 2. I got an e-mail today with the UPS tracking # so I called NB again to see if they swapped the hops. The guy tells me he threw in the Summit and left in the Target! It's only $1.10 but still, I thought that was awesome.

That is pretty cool!
I was actually up at the store yesterday. I still can't believe how small the actual store is. But they sure have a nice selection of ingredients and equipment.
I did have one problem though--SWMBO noticed 2 charges on the Mastercard...one for the $111 bucks I spent, and another for $285 that I didn't spend. She was pissed. I'm going to have to call tomorrow and see what the heck that was.

I liked the Summit...use it sparingly though! I used half an ounce for bittering and my IPA is plenty bitter...but really good stuff!

No.....I'm pretty stupid, but I know that would have gotten me killed. She'd have had a Tomahawk missile shot from the Persian Gulf into my hotel room.
It is amazing how fast 100 bucks can go at that place though. I bought a bunch of stainless fittings and other odds and ends. Nothing exceptionally cool.

Psst. I just spend $100 there this morning (OK, online), and I got four cornies, a pound of hops, and some other crap.
I'm really hoping this gets delivered on a day that the wife's at school; we just had "the talk" about gear accumulation, but I know I'll need more than three kegs (that I'm getting from sailman) and it was too good a deal to pass up.

HAHAHHAHA, that's awesome, my wife works when the mail gets here and I work from home, so I can unload packages and put with my other brewing stuff and she has no idea.
But, when I notice some packages with clothes in them (old navy, american eagle, etc.) I bitch and moan for her not telling me she ordered them. I feel kind of bad, but she wears the damn things like 1 time and I never see it again.

Don't worry Bird, I won't say a thing about your "spree" when I come up next Sunday.
