Default Modus Hoperandi Clone

After reading through some posts about this beer, I decided to try to clone it with an AG recipe. Based on my recent tasting (as in right this second), I feel the SRM is a bit darker and the bitterness is a bit more pronounced than posted elsewhere. What dost thou thinkest?

Estimated FG: 1.016 SG
Estimated IBUs: 85.6 IBU
Estimated Color: 12.1 SRM
Brewhouse Efficiency: 72%
Boil Time: 90 minutes

Grains:
12.75# Pale Malt (2-Row) US (87.93%)
1.00# Caramel/Crystal 90L (6.90%)
0.75# Red Wheat (5.17%)

Hops:
1.75 oz Centennial (9.10%) @90 min
1.25 oz Cascade (5.40%) @30 min
0.75 oz Centennial (9.10%) @30 min
1.25 oz Cascade (5.40%) @5 min
1.25 oz Columbus (13.20%) @5 min
2.00 oz Cascade (5.40%) @0 min
1.00 oz Columbus (13.20%) @0 min
3.00 oz Cascade (5.40%) (dry hop)
1.50 oz Columbus (13.20%) (dry hop)

I tried Modus Hoperandi for the first time last night. Amazing!!!! This is defintey my new favorite beer. Couldn't believe it came in a can! haha Man was it good. I don't do AG, I wonder how an extract conversion would work for this recipe?? Would you reduce the bitterness and if so how? Overall, does this recipe truly taste like the original?

J - I think it needs to be closer to 70 IBU's and they use a dry english ale yeast.

Thats only if you are trying to match it pefectly, your beer still sounds like a great west coast IPA.

Good Luck!

Brewing my clone this weekend. I've thought about using a dry English ale yeast like the WLP007. I might try that next time. In terms of bitterness, I'll got with 85 this time and try 70 next time...
