Mild Session Beer Recipe Needed

I am looking for an English Mild recipe. In trying to learn how to home brew I am hopping to recreate these wonderful beers I enjoyed while living in England many years ago. The beers that you could sit in a pub after a morning shopping and knock down a pint or two over lunch and not get sleepy or light headed.

I looked at the recipe listings and did not see anything that just jumped out at me. I am learning so extract with mini mash is about my skill level.

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Orfy's Mild Mannered Ale is about as fine an example as you will find. He has an extract with steeping grains recipe in the second reply. If you can, get yourself some maris otter extract instead of just standard light extract.

I've made this beer numerous times and it is really excellent.
