Okay, probably should have done this earlier but I didn't so here it goes.

I'm very new to recipe making its the hop selection and schedule that gets me indecisive.

I'm currently mashing an American IPA

11 lbs 2-row
1/2 lb Carapils
1 lb Munich
1/2lb Crystal 40L
Mash at 150F

trying to come up with a hop schedule. I have the following hops available to use up:
Cascade
Centennial
Nelson Sauvin
Cluster.
Goldings
Williamette

Was initially thinking a Centennial or Nelson for bittering then Cascade for flavoring and aroma. Any advice on pairings or amounts? More interested in Target IBU's for each addition rather than amount so I can adjust for hop age.

Centennial/nelson (Pellet)1oz 30min
Cascade (Pellet) 1.5oz 30min
Williamette (Pellet) 0.5oz 15min
Cascade (Pellet) 1.5oz 15min
Williamette (Pellet) 1oz 5min
Cascade (Pellet) 2oz Dry in secondary

Well then I'd say centennial or cascade at 60 and I still like the idea of centennial/cascade/nelson in the last fifteen minutes. Could also dry hop with all three if you wanted.

I say use my hop schedule and get ready to drink your new favorite ipa. I know its not flashy, but I promise it works.

Thanks for all the help. Will definitely try yours soon. I have an entire lb of williamette I haven't even touched.

Really gotta start reading the hops book for guidance. So many options!

Ended up with
1.25 Centennial @60min
1.0 Cascade - 15
1.0 Centennial - 15
.4 Nelson - 15
1oz cascade - 5
1 oz nelson - 5
1oz cascade - 0
1 oz nelson - 0

Looks good. Let us know how it turns out. I've never paired nelson and cascade. Dry hopping?

Yeah prob 1 oz each fordry hopping.

I haven't paired them before either. Nearly 90% of my batches are single hop. So I'be only done an all Nelson blonde ale. Was well received.
