I can buy(locally) two different kinds of Maris otter for virtually the same price. Baird and Crisp. Is one better than the other, or should they be virtually the same?

Can't compare them personally, but I can say that I am happy with Crisp. I've used their Pale as well and its good...

They should be very similar. I use Crisp, but that's because I can find it at the LHBS. Maybe you could try both and see if there is a difference and whether you prefer one over the other.
