Default Malt Rating Question (newbie question)

Hey everyone, I am putting together a Porter recipe on Beersmith, and I had a quick question. My LBHS (which is actually two hours away) lists their UK Chocolate Malt as being 350°L and I was just wondering what this meant. Sorry for the n00b question!

Its just regular chocolate malt. The 350Lovibond is the color.

There is also Pale Chocolate, but that's a different animal. IIRC the Lovibond on that is 150 or so.
