Making Caramel Pils

Does any know how to make caramel pils malt? I am assuming you just toast some pils for a while, but I don't know for how long or at what temperature. Can anyone point me in the right direction here. My LHBS doesn't have it and shipping to Hawaii is freakin' expensive. Thanks.
