+1. JZ's recipe will get you in the ball park. I'd brew that and do a taste test with the real thing and adjust from there. High gravity lagers require a ton of yeast...So you may want to make a Helles or a Pils or something and pitch the Doppelbock wort on the yeast cake.

Can I just pitch two of the WLP833 German Bock Lager Yeast?
According to Mr Malty, if you don't want to make a starter you should pitch nearly 8 vials. That's pretty spendy, maybe you should just make the 7L of starter you need.
