Default Liberty Ale Clone

Does anyone have this recipe? This is one of my favorite store bought brews. I searched the site, but had no luck. I didn't get very many hits or clues googling it as well. Austin Homebrew sells a clone kit, but its around $35.

I have some recipes for Anchor Liberty saved on my thumb drive I think.
I will post them in the morning. Can't remember where I got them though....

It was from some site that had 2 different versions of it--but not a recipe site. Some homebrewer with a pretty nice web site if I recall.....

Found the site with the recipes I was talking about...

Version #1

Version #2

The rest of the site usually has a TON of good articles, but seems to be....DOWN, at the moment.

I know the guy who ran that site, and I think he still has the code for it. I think I may get it and put it back online.

WY1272 is Anchor's yeast. I am befuddled by the London Ale?

I'm drinking a Liberty right now. I'm not getting any specialty malt character in this at all. Man, this brew is DRY! I think you could really simplify this as follows...

6lb Light DME
1oz Cascade @ 60min
1oz Cascade @ 10min
1oz Cascade @ Flameout
Wyeast 1272 American Ale II (fermented on the cooler side - 63˚-65˚)
1oz Cascade in Secondary Fermenter for 5-7 days

The liberty ale really only has Cascade hops in it? This surprised me, as I remember it being very fruity, but not terribly citrusy.

Wait, I thought it was so named because it is made with Liberty hops. I don't even see Liberty in these clone recipes.

Edit: What a fool I was to make such an assumption. From the Anchor Steam Website: "Liberty Ale was first introduced on April 18th, 1975 to commemorate the bicentennial of the famous ride by Paul Revere." And Liberty hops were not introduced until the early 90's.

Im actually just now listening to a Sunday Session podcast with the brewmaster from Anchor and he says Liberty is made with only Cascade hops and Pale Malt, and OG of 1.056.

Looks like headfullofhops recipe would be close, the only question is the hops schedule and amounts, but I am sure that will get you close.
