Default Lager Yeast Washing

Does anyone notice a difference in yeast/trub separation when washing lager yeast?

I'm having some difficulty washing some czech budejovice lager yeast. With ale yeast, I normally get a clear yeast separation and good color.

The lager yeast does not look the same at all, it does not pack together the same way ale yeast does. It is not "creamy" like I am used to.
