So I have an Irish Red Ale Extract kit that didn't come with yeast, however I have a dry Munton's Wheat yeast that I have available to use. Has anyone ever tried using a wheat beer yeast in a traditional ale beer recipe? Just curious, I don't want to waste the yeast if this is going to turn out nasty. I do like the wheat yeast taste profile but just not sure how it will meld with an Irish Red recipe. Any thoughts? I can post the recipe if needed.
