Default Irish Red Ale

The warm summer months are approaching, and I'm interested in a departure from the IPA and IIPA's I've been making thus far. I enjoy the quaffability (is there such a word?) of Irish Red Ales, but at the same time I prefer them a little more hopped than the ones I've had. Has anyone made the Irish Red kits available through Austin Homebrew or Northern Brewer? I am still at the partial grain stage of my short homebrewing career - not quite ready for all grain yet. Thanks in advance.

I have made AHS Irish red twice. Very pleased with the results. Had a hoppy aftertaste at 3 weeks in the bottle which faded away by week 5.
