Default How much priming sugar for dry stout?

Just made a Guiness type clone last night and was wondering how much carbonation a dry stout should have? Do I use the typical 4 to 5 oz of corn sugar per 5gal or is a stout better less carbonated? Of course I have a couple of weeks to think about it yet!

You need to refer to a carbonation table like this.

I typically carbonate my stouts to between 1.5-2 volumes. For accurate priming, you should measure your priming sugar by weight, not by volume.

Last night I bottled Sinking Ship Porter with 3.75 oz (about 3/4 cup) of Corn sugar.

And a side note - it tasted awesome - used 1 oz of chocolate nips. I can not wait for it to mature.
