Just a quick question; when a recipe calls for hops at say 30, 15, and 0 minutes, does that 0 minutes mean that you toss in the last hops when the boil is done and transferred into the fermentor?
Toss them in when you turn the flame off, let them steep in the very hot (but no longer boiling) wort for a couple minutes, then begin to chill your wort. These are also known as "flameout" additions.
"I'm kind of toasted. But I looked at my watch and it's only 6:30 so I can't stop drinking yet." - Yooper's Bob "Brown eye finally recovered after the abuse it endured in Ptown last weekend, but it took almost a full week." - Paulie "no, he just doesn't speak 'stupid'. i, however, am fluent...." - motobrewer

Ah ok thanks, I suppose this addition is for aromatic purposes?
