Default Hopping out a Cream Ale???

I have an A/G Cream ale kit. I was wondering if I could hop it with, say, Centennial a little heavier than the hops which come with it and make a Creamed Corn IPA. Just a thought, but thought it may be worth a try. It is actually a Little Kings Cream Ale clone. We used to drink the hell out of these in High School.

Fermentables are:
1.25 lbs Flaked Maize
3/4 lbs Cara-Pils
6 lbs 2 Row

Hops in the kit are:
1 oz Saaz @60
.5 oz Hallerteau @15
.5 oz Hallerteau @5

Yeast is a safelagar S-23 (would replace with SA A-05)

Was thinking Centennial all the way through@
30 mins 1 oz
15 mins 1 oz
5 mins 1 oz
flame out .5 oz
dryhop w 1 oz

Anyone ever try anything similar?
