Default hop genealogy article

Came across this today:

http://www.calferm.org/edu/hops/Pedigree.htm

It's from Brewing Techniques. I miss that magazine. To me, it was the best of all the brewing magazines. I have subscriptions to both BYO and Zymurgy now and they just pale in comparison for me anyway.

Anyway, it's a decent little article. Enjoy!

THANKS for the link!

I agree completely about Brewing Techniques. I wish whoever owns the copyright would sell CD's of the whole catalog of their articles, or perhaps put them online. Last time I looked there was only a partial set, and they weren't formatted for printing very well.

Honestly, it was the best of the best, especially for people that knew their way around a homebrewery.

Yeah, it'd be great to have digitally. They often had great articles. Far, far more in depth than any of the other mags out there. I miss 'em!

Been reading a lot of hop stuff lately. So, here's another good one:

I find it particularly interesting to read about the Northern Brewer lineage and how it originated and then led to Northdown and Challenger. Such a mix. One thinks of those two as such British hops then finds out there's a lot of Manitoba hop in their genealogy.
