Default Help needed. Over hopping

Trying to make a smooth ipa with a big aroma. OG is 1.062 FG is 1.019
Using .75oz magnum at 60
.5 FF and .5 citra at 10
1 FF and 1 citra before whirlpool
1 ff and 1 citra before immersion cool
1 ff and 1.5 citra dry hop

Too much aroma. Should I back it down a bit?

What are your calculated IBUs? Your bittering ratio (OG/IBU) is a major indicator of over or under hopping.

No such thing as too much aroma in my book; I'd just make sure you're hopping levels are where they should be, especially if you are looking for a smooth IPA.

I think it needs some more flavor hops, though.

I really like a schedule of something like this:

.75 ounce FWH (or to 35 IBUs or so with this addition, depending on OG)
1 ounce 15 minutes
1 ounce 10 minutes
1 ounce 5 minutes
1 ounce flame out
dryhop with 1-2 ounces.

Your recipe is fine, but I like the 15/10/5 additions for many IPAs for bigger hops flavor along with aroma.

Thanks yopper. Going to take our advice about 15/10/5/ FO. But keeping FO at 2 oz (1 oz each of FF & citra) b/c I already measured it out and stuff. Can't have too much aroma.
