I found some at the farmers market. It's purple and crazy looking, and I want to brew a saison with some. After hours of searching, I can not find a single reference to using fresh (as opposed to dried) hibiscus sepals here or elsewhere. I'm a little worried about imparting a vegetable or weedy flavor. I have some dried hibiscus as well in case this does not pan out.
Does anyone have experience adding this or any other related fresh flower to beer?
