Default Grain steeping technique

Just wondering what technique some of you use for steeping your grains. Do you just let the grains soak in a bag for 20-30 minutes and then immediately take them out or do you let the residual water drain out of the bag into the wort? Do you stir the wort while the grains are steeping? Do you squeeze the grain bag to drain all of the residual water back into the wort?

suspend bag in water, turn burner on. Let water come up to temp. Once it reaches 165 either remove the bag if it's been 20-30 minutes or throttle burner back to no go above 165 for a total of 20-30 minutes in the water.

Lift bag out of water letting it drip till it's mostly done. Discard. Don't squeeze. This can release undesirable tannins.

I treat it like tea. Heat the water, put the grain (in a bag) into the water for 20-30 minutes. While suspended in the water, dunk up and down a few times like a teabag. IrregularPulse hit it on the head with how to drain the bag.
