Default Grain price up 50%

I was warned and it just happened.

My HBS went from £25 to £37 in one go!!!!
Over $70 per sack!!!!! ouch.

Ouch. I just got 2 sacks of 2 row, 1 for me and 1 for another brewer for $40 each and I got a sack of pils malt ordered from my LHBS.

I was talking to my local micro a week ago and he told me that prices are going up again in January. I think I'll get him to get me a couple more sacks of 2 row.

My LHBS is advertising a grain price increase of 30%. I paid $1.65/lb for pilsner malt, crushed.

My LHBS has been at $50 for 50lbs of Briess 2-row. I didn't even ask how much German Pils is...
