Default Gonna brew my 888 tomorrow, another Belgian IIPA

Well after tasting my Belgian IPA, I am more than happy on how it turned out. So I figured why the hell not, lets go big and do an 8-8-8 Belgian IIPA. OG is 1.088, 88 IBU's, and 8 pounds of both pil's and 2-row.. This beer will be brewed with a very low mash temp. looking for 148 and a two hour mash.. After fermentation is done, I will be pitching Brett B into the secondary and allow it to age for 5-6 months.

8.00 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) Bel (3.0 SRM) Grain 46.1 %
8.00 lb Pilsner (2 Row) Bel (2.0 SRM) Grain 46.1 %
2.20 oz Hallertauer, New Zealand [8.50%] (60 min)Hops 50.6 IBU
1.00 oz Styrian Goldings [5.40%] (30 min) Hops 11.2 IBU
0.50 oz Hallertauer, New Zealand [8.50%] (30 min)Hops 8.8 IBU
1.00 oz Styrian Goldings [5.40%] (15 min) Hops 7.2 IBU
0.75 oz Tettnang [4.50%] (30 min) Hops 7.0 IBU
1.00 oz Saaz [4.00%] (5 min) Hops 2.2 IBU
0.50 oz Styrian Goldings [5.40%] (5 min) Hops 1.5 IBU
1.35 lb Turbinado (10.0 SRM) Sugar 7.8 %

Brewed this today. Got some ridiculous efficiency. OG of 1.094!! Wort tasted very good, pretty bitter, but im sure that will tone down some. Oh and whole hops suck.

Put em in the salad spinner!
Looks good Ryan, hope it turns out great, I will be very interested in seeing how this turns out with the Brett in the end.

Thanks.. Im gonna be interested to see how low the brett will take this one. Im thinking I will need to do a decent size starter for them, given the alcohol content. That and my vile of Brett B. is pretty pathetic looking.. Not much in their.

Figured I would update this. now that the beer is a few months in. So far this beer is awesome. The brett is still not fully developed, but adding a nice touch to it. I'm thinking about adding a oz. of french oak cubes to it. Defiantly a great brew. Jamil all I can say is sour and hopy does work!!

Congradulations! Nothing better than a satisfying, killer Belgian. Bel. IPA is a glorious style and both of yours look dynamite.
