Default German Lager Yeast?

Does it give off a sulfury smell at initial fermentation?

Most lagers do. Don't worry if it smells like rotten eggs.

Great, lol, my dad already complains his garage smells like beer. I wonder what I can say a lager fermentation is????? Maybe I will use the sewer manhole right outside the garage as an excuse, lol. I smell it from time to time.

If it's in a garage, it'll just smell like more beer fermenting. However, if it's in a garage, you need to be very careful about controlling your temperature. Lager yeasts tend to be more sensitive and ornery than ale yeasts.
