German Hop Tour
|
|
With the current hop situation, I was getting a little nostalgic since I have not been to Germany yet this year.
Here are my pics from the drive along the Deutsche Hopfenstra ße back in September 2006 during the harvest. It was a great Saturday driving through the Hallertau Region culminating with a couple of fine German beers.

Enjoy!

Great pics. Did you make it to the titty twister party?

Hey Ed, is this close to München? I'd like to stop there while I'm on my honeymoon...

About 20 minutes north of Munich. You start in Freising (The Airport Marriott is there) and take the B301 north for about 19 km to Au in der Hallertau.
Here's the route.

No matter how many times I see that I never get tired of it.
Thanks for the refresher, EdWort!

That's just awesome. For some reason it gets my heart thumping when I see all those hops.
I'm heading to Munich in late September for Octoberfest, and a drive like this would be a nice day trip.
Thanks for the pics!
