Default Floral Beer

Something I've had in mind for a couple of months is a flowery or floral beer. Not sure how I would accomplish this beyond hops.

If anybody knows anything about making a floral beer, grain recommendation, hop recommendation, dried, edible flowers in boil? yeast? Anything would help for this.

Sacred Herbal Healing Beers by Stephen Harrod Buhner. Its a pretty interesting read with sections on medicinal herbs, psychotropic herbs, etc. I am dying to make the yarrow beer. By psychotropic I think they basically mean it gets you drunker than the stated abv.

I found this one at powell's. I think I'm going to pick it up this week and see if I can figure this out. Will eventually post a recipe/result

Beers with a lot of late centennial and cascade hop additions can turn out very floral with the right grain bill. One that comes to mind is Bear Republic's XP pale ale. Maybe some sort of clone or alteration of it would do?

I vote for late hop additions, and against weird herbal stuff.

Good luck

Rogues Brutal Bitter with all Crystal hops turns out very floral and very tasty. Drink @ 55F or so with light carbination and enjoy. Search for clone recipe.

I brewed a miller lite clone as an ale once........it turned out very floral, and quite delicious.

Why they lager out the little flavor that remains, I will never understand.

Lavender goes surprising well with a "C" IPA. A couple grams of flower petals per gallon is plenty.
