Recipes 

How does one get fermentables out of flaked rice? Is there some special mash process? Same as other grains??? I don't know what to do with this stuff!

Flaked rice, like most flaked adjuncts, is pregelatinized; the flakes can be added to the mash without first using cereal cooker. Any time I use an adjunct like this, I'm very careful about mixing the mash well.

So rice needs to be mashed same as any other "normal" grain? Same conversions we're after?
