Default First Lager suggestions please - something crisp/hoppy

I'm ready to attempt my first lager. I don't love malty beers, so I'd prefer something crisp, even a bit hoppy. Something sessionable would be nice.

I'm mostly an ALE guy, so I'm not super familiar with lager styles.

Sounds like you need to brew a Pilsner!

Ah, well, no biggie then. Maybe toss in .5 pound of melanoidin malt to simulate the flavor? Just a thought! It would still be really good as a single infusion mash at 150-152, I assume.

I do have some melanoidin as I've used it in a belgian. I was never clear how that mimicked the decotion, but I'll give it a try.
