Default English Steam Ale

I've made the same basic California Common recipe so many times...I wanted to do something a little different.

I usually have American Pale Malt, German Vienna, and a bit of American Chocolate Malt for color. WLP810 San Francisco Lager is my go-to yeast (very spicy and funky.)

This time I wanted something maltier. I'm going with Maris Otter, American Munich, and English Chocolate Malt.

I'm also going with the Wyeast 2112 California Lager yeast. It's a bit cleaner than the WLP810.

Sticking with the usual German Northern Brewer hops.

Should make for a great Steam Beer with an English twist! Brewing with my tea-bag method tomorrow evening. Wish me luck...
