I've just brewed a english style IPA with 2 row, crystal 60 and 6 oz's of Kent Goldings.

I used some WLP 001 California Ale yeast that I had on hand.

What can I expect? Is this going to be a mess? Not fruity enough?

Should I shoot for fermentation around 71 instead of 68 to encourage esters?

Thanks for the help.

Have you ever really had a BAD beer, much less homebrew?

All fuggle IPA is a little odd, but stranger things have been done. Never had an IPA with common yeast and I don't know much about it, but I'll guess it will be fine. How much 60? It could deepen the flavor of the grain into chocolate and not fruit in quantities of 7.5% or more.
