Effect of Low AAU Hops?

the 1.5-2.0% AAU Hallertau hops have about half the amount of AAU's of the normal 3.0+% Hallertau. I understand this effects bittering potential and would need more to acquire bitterness. But how do these low yileding AAU hops effect the aroma/ flavor they impart? Would i need two times the amount to get the same aroma/ flavor, a little more, or are the flavor/aroma not affected at all?
