dried malt extract will give it body. corn sugar will give it nothing but alcohol. plus, dried malt extract is actually made from barley...a real beer ingredient. corn sugar is for soda.
Is DME a direct substitute for corn sugar or cane sugar? Example: 1 lbs of DME will make the same SG as 1 lbs of corn sugar or cane sugar.
To me using DME would be more expensive than using Cane Sugar or Corn Sugar. I would need to have evidence that it makes a beer "that" much better, either taste or appearance.
