dIPA recipe review
Hey guys....tell me what you think of this. Going to be a 10 gallon batch. Any suggestions? Recommendations? Praise :) ?
28 lbs Pale Malt (2 Row) US
2 lbs Rye Malt
1 lbs 8.0 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L
1 lbs Cara-Pils/Dextrine
4.0 oz Honey Malt
8.0 oz Corn Sugar (Dextrose)
3.00 oz Summit [17.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min
1.50 oz Centennial [10.00 %] - Boil 30.0 min
1.00 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] - Boil 20.0 min
1.50 oz Centennial [10.00 %] - Boil 15.0
1.00 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] - Boil 10.0 min
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Boil 5.0 min
1.00 oz Centennial [10.00 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days
1.00 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days
Harvested pacman yeast from yellow snow

You got Yellow Snow, I've not seen that for a couple of years. I thought they had stopped making it!

For a 10 gallon batch, it seems low on the hops. I'd start with doubling everything from 15 minutes on in. Otherwise looks good.
3 oz summit seems like a lot. Maybe 2oz
I'd also lose the 30 min centennial and up it at glamour or dry. Also agree double all the 20 min or less additions and maybe quadruple your dry hop. 4 oz in a 5 gal batch is common for ipa so yeah 2oz is not enough. I'd do a blend of centennial cascade summit and simcoe
I agree. Grain bill looks great. Hop it to hell!
