Default Differences between Crystal Malts?

Aside from the obvious lovibond units, is there a flavor difference between the different levels of Crystal Malt?

The lovibond is how dark the grain is. The darker it is the more roasted it is. So, you will get a more roasted caramel flavor the higher lovibond you go.
