Anybody know any "local" sources for this? HBS isn't so local and I'd rather not pay $7 shipping for a $1 item.
The guy at the beer store mentioned bicyclist buy him out of it during the summer, so I thought maybe GNC, but they looked at me like I asked for crack.
Green-mart knew of it, but doesn't carry it here... Any ideas?
 
Well, a deli in the gas station carries some here. I have no idea why, but I buy it for $.99/pound there.

Otherwise, maybe a specialty flour/bakery/health food store might.
 
If it's for priming I'd say prime your next batch with table sugar (using about 5% less). See how you like it. I can't tell the difference, other than table sugar is easier to work with IMO.


I do keep dextrose on hand for other purposes (apfelwein) but I don't go through it like I used to.
 
Check bigger grocery stores. I bought a bag of sugar that was just pure dextrose by accident once. I think it was in a pink and white bag.
