Default Help - Created this extract IPA recipe for friend's first brew:

Trying to make it easy for him to pick up the ingredients, and trying to keep the cost down.

I've never brewed a 100% original recipe before, so I'm looking for some validation.

Recipe Specifications

Boil Size: 4.08 gal

2.00 oz Centennial [10.00 %] (60 min) Hops 46.7 IBU
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] (15 min) Hops 6.4 IBU

The SG is rather high (not a bad thing) and you will have a pretty malty, full bodied beer. A pound of Cry20L will definitely leave some sweetness in the beer. I would add some more hops if I were you to balance it out a bit - maybe 70 IBUs?

thanks for the input. you think 1 pack of notty will do it? I've never used it for anything very high grav.
