Was hoping to get in on the AHBS 10% off sale and order stuff to make a Oatmeal Stout, but my recipe calls for 8 oz of chocolate malt and AHBS is out of stock.

Will/does chocolate wheat impart the same flavors as chocolate malt? Would it be ok to substitute for the chocolate malt that the recipe calls for?

It's just for color or aroma iirc.
I simply bought coffee malt in lieu of chocolate malt, hopefully that would replace it.
