can you ad sweet dark chocolate to the wort?

The problem with chocolate is the fat content, which will kill any head that your beer would have had. There is a way to do it, because people make chocolate stouts all the time, but I don't know how. Do a search and look at the recipe database to see.

Cocoa powder is usually ok to use, because it doesn't have any cocoa butter in it. Chocolate malt is also good, on its own or with the cocoa powder.

Another recommendation, but a little spendy. Get some cocoa nibs and add to secondary. I ground mine up a bit and roasted in the oven.
