Morning everyone. This is my California Common recipe:

9.5 lbs 2 Row
1.25 lbs Crystal 60
1.25 lbs Munich

1.00 oz Northern Brewer (60 minutes)
0.5 oz Cascade (30 minutes)
0.5 oz Cascade (10 minutes)
0.5 oz Cascade (0 minutes)
0.5 oz Cascade (dry hop)

WYeast 2112

This recipe turned out fantastic. I entered it into a competition and it scored very well with a 40. The only critique the judges could offer was that it needed "a bit more aroma hops".

I'm thinking of adding a 0.5 - 0.75 oz addition of Northern Brewer at the end, but I don't want an overpowering pine needley aroma. I know this is a really small issue but I really want to take this beer to the next level.

I just brewed a cali common today. My hop bill was:
.75 oz northern brewer - 60 min
1.5oz northern brewer - 15 min
1.75oz northern brewer - hopback

I don't use anything but northern brewer in my cali commons.

I think another dose of NB at flameout would work good in your recipe.
