I picked up my ingredients for a 10 gall batch of blood orange hefeweizen last night. A very simple recipe from the DFH book. 13.2lbs of light liquid wheat extract, 1oz hallertau 60 min, 1oz saaz 20 min, 1oz hallertau 10 min, 2 vials of WLP380, already on the stirplate. plus 8 blood oranges. I went to a bunch of grocery stores,farmers markets, whole foods, wegmans, No blood oranges right now. does anyone have any suggestions on another type of orange or a completely different fruit? that would go with the above ingredients?
