Default Belgian Pils v. German Pils

Hey all,

Im making a Kolsch tomorrow and Im using a very simple grist of 100% pils malt. However, at my LHBS I was only able to find 7# german pils, so I bought 2# of belgian pils for the hell of it. ( I want about 9# pils malt).

Will there be any remarkable differences?

Probably not. RDWHAHB.

Be sure to do a 90 minute boil though to drive off DMS.

belgian pils is slightly grainier and will have a bit more malty sweetness. i don't think you'll notice much with only 2 lbs, tho.
