Default Belgian candi replace with table sugar

I'm wanting to try and save a few $ by using regular sucrose instead of Belgian candi sugar - do these correlate pound for pound?

Well are you using belgian candi syrup or rocks? If rocks yes, if syrup no. It's 30% less sugar I think and that's due to the water content to make it a syrup.

I use syrup. Thanks, I'll give the 30% less a shot.
