Default Beer Geek Brunch Weasel

This Beer is classified an American Double Stout. It is an attempt at the Beer Geek Brunch Weasel by Mikkeller which is aged in wet oak cognac barrels so it has notes of Oak and noticeable presence of cognac. The cognac and oak dominate the aroma profile as well. this is my attempt at an extract clone. I'll probably brew this after xmas and condition it into next fall. Let me know what you guys think!

Fyi the beer geek brunch is by leaps and bounds my favorite beer I've ever had.

When I had the weasel I got a lot of smokeyness. Where does that come from? I assumed smoked malt

Mikel is pretty forthcoming with his recipes. You could always ask him.

Thats not a bad Idea. I may have to find a space to switch to AG. If there ever was a beer I'd do it for it'd be this one.
