APA Thoughts
Thoughts on the below recipe? Trying to use up some grains I have random amounts of. Going for an APA.
11.00 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 89.87 %
0.75 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) Grain 6.13 %
0.30 lb Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM) Grain 2.45 %
0.19 lb Special B Malt (180.0 SRM) Grain 1.55 %
1.00 oz Warrior [17.50 %] (60 min) (FWH) Hops 52.8 IBU
0.50 oz Mad Scientist Amarillo [7.00 %] (15 min) Hops 5.3 IBU
0.50 oz Amarillo (Steinbarts) [8.20 %] (10 min) Hops 4.5 IBU
0.50 oz Mad Scientist Amarillo [7.00 %] (5 min) Hops 2.1 IBU

The only thing I'd possibly omit is the Special B. But there's not that much, so it's up to you.

At 65 IBU, I'd call it an AIPA.

On the special B...I've tried it in an IPA before and kinda liked it. I just had a little left over so I thought I'd throw it in. It helped with the color a little too.
