Default Anyone have any experiance with WLP862?

Anyone have any experience with WLP862?

Sorry about the typelexia when starting this thread.

White Labs Cry Havoc WLP862 (Charlie Papazian's yeast strain)

I have been considering experimenting with it, and want to know what to expect.

I listened to a podcast about it once. I remember them saying you could ferment it at lager and ale temps.

Sorry that's all I have to add. The podcast was The Brewing Network presents The Sunday Session. Interview with Charlie Papazian. Check it out he talked about the yeast strain for awhile.

I've used it twice and I don't think I'll be using it again. Once I used it for an ale and once for a lager. It worked ok, but with those batches I did 10 gal and split 5/5 with different yeasts. In both cases the other yeast I used turned out much better.

If you could only ever use one yeast for everything its probably good for it, but I'll just stick to using specific yeasts for specific styles.
