Default Anybody Ever Tried Wyeast California Lager 2112?

It's the only lager yeast available at my homebrew shop that can make a lager at fermentation temperatures in the low 60's. I don't have the equipment to keep a constant temperature below that, so I was curious how y'alls beers have turned out using this yeast.

It's the California Common, or Steam Beer Yeast. It works great if that is your intent, to ferment in the low 60's. It has some lager and ale-like qualities.

It's the yeast from Anchor Steam. If that's the style of beer you're looking for, it's fantastic--that's one of my favorite beer styles, so I use it once every 8 brew days or so.

Wyeast and White Labs yeasts are both generally very good matches for the style they claim to be.
